“Deadpool & Wolverine” is a perfect mix of comedy, action, brutality, and heroism. This movie has one of the strongest openings ever, introducing the characters, main hero, antagonist, and companion. Combined with a well-choreographed fighting scene showcasing brutality and comedy, intercut with dance scenes, this intro is both entertaining and prepares the viewer for what’s to come.

A Strong Opening

The purpose of the intro, besides introducing the characters, is to show the credits of the Director, Producers, etc. Often, these kinds of intros are boring, and you wait until the movie really begins. But in “Deadpool & Wolverine,” I was hooked immediately. I couldn’t stop laughing and flinching because of the dance or the killing. (Choose what I did for what haha)

Clever Scriptwriting

I always complain about lazy scriptwriting when characters literally describe what is going on, like: “We are in the elevator,” and you can clearly see where they are. But in “Deadpool & Wolverine,” they can explain everything literally because it fits Deadpool perfectly. He breaks the 4th wall and talks to the audience, making it funny and serving the purpose of explaining everything while mocking other movies and lazy scriptwriting. It didn’t bother me at all; I just understood.

Deadpool’s Fourth Wall Breaks

Deadpool’s ability to break the fourth wall adds a unique charm to the movie. It allows for direct communication with the audience, making the narrative more engaging and humorous. This self-awareness sets “Deadpool & Wolverine” apart from other superhero movies.

Cameos and Surprises

It’s already a known fact that we expect great cameos of other characters from other movies or real-life people. This movie didn’t let us down because it gave us fan-wanted cameos as well as new unexpected ones. I love when filmmakers listen to the fans and give them what they want, but they do it in a way that works best and fits the story, giving me goosebumps. Deceiving us with awaited cameos was also well done. We got what we wanted but then got tricked into what we really wanted. It was FANTASTIC.

Nostalgia and Attention to Detail

This movie took me on a journey through my childhood. Seeing all the references to the old movies made me appreciate the attention to detail. The filmmakers’ dedication to honoring past films while creating something new is commendable.

A Movie for All Fans

To conclude this, even my girlfriend, who barely watched any of the predecessor movies and was not that into this universe, enjoyed it. Maybe not as much as me, but this movie can stand on its own.
